About Duvonna (she/her)
I have dedicated my entire career to the field of social work, working professionally as a Licensed Social Worker, and have over ten years of experience working in a hospital and school setting. I have a Master of Arts degree from BGSU and a Pupil Services Social Work registration with the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce. My experience working with children and adolescents have provided me with a strong understanding of the importance of emotional support for healthy development and overall wellness.
My passion lies in supporting emotional well-being and creating a space where individuals feel heard, understood and empowered. I specialize in building self-confidence, self-esteem and self-compassion using a client-centered, cognitive-behavioral, strength-based approach. My goal is to highlight each individual's strengths and provide a comfortable environment to help navigate life's transitions and challenges. I am committed to providing a positive, safe and supportive therapeutic relationship.
Clients describe me as supportive, empathetic and encouraging. As a therapist, I make it my priority to focus on strengths of each individual and provide a supportive atmosphere to process and navigate life's challenges and transitions.
