About Ann (she/her)
I strive to offer a space that is open, non-judgmental, and accepting to allow people to come into a higher level of peace in their lives and their relationships. I strive to come from a client-centered style. I bring my authentic self into sessions; and we create a space based on your goals, strengths and personality. I fully believe in humor being an important part of healing!
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I specialize in supporting people through anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, stress, college student concerns, self-worth issues, and loving and acceptance of self. I pull from various therapeutic approaches: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), Flash technique, and mindfulness training. I hold a Master's degree from Adams State University in Counselor Education, with specialties in school and clinical mental health counseling. I am EMDR trained, and trauma informed.
I have been married for 25 years and have 6 children. I use humor in the therapeutic space and believe in being straightforward. I am passionate about supporting others in their therapeutic journey. I consider it a privilege to be with someone through their process of healing.
Clients describe me as compassionate and non-judgmental. As a therapist, I strive to offer a safe space for clients to heal and to find peace and fulfillment in their lives.
